Touch Of Love Home Health Care Inc in Indianapolis, IN is looking for one home health scheduler to join our 8 person strong team. We are located on 6919 E. 10th Street Suite B. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and hard-working.


Responsibilities

1.     Client Service Coordination:

o  Ensure bi-monthly eligibility reviews are conducted and necessary authorizations are obtained.

o  Assure that client requests for services are staffed according to the needs identified in the Plan of Care and client preferences, ensuring adequate numbers of staff are available.

o  Ensure all cases are staffed per schedule.

o  Inform clients and appropriate staff of the schedule utilization.

o  Fill new clients’ service needs within established time frames.

o  Monitor staff availability and hiring needs.

o  Respond to ill/absent calls and provide coverage appropriately.

o  Participate in the evaluation and performance review of direct care staff.


2.     Staffing Coordinator Supervision:

o  Participate in hiring decisions for the coordination unit.

o  Train new coordinators and provide training and mentoring in areas of developmental need.

o  Complete scheduled performance reviews.

o  Supervise coordination staff to ensure effective, timely responses to Touch of Love client needs.

o  Develop work schedules for coordinator staff, including on-call responsibilities.


3.     Workflow Systems Implementation:

o  Assure that paperwork/data entry is completed accurately and timely.

o  Communicate staff needs to supervisors regularly and as needed to ensure adequate levels of available staff.

o  Collaborate with the Intake Coordinator to ensure staff availability for new client intake.

o  Participate and communicate with other departments and individuals to ensure Touch of Love tasks are accomplished (billing, payroll, information systems).


4.     Information Communication:

o  Maintain daily logs (manual or computer).

o  Keep schedules current and employee/client data updated.

o  Compile required statistics and submit written reports as required.


5.     Confidentiality Maintenance:

o  Respect the confidentiality of information in client and employee records.

o  Share information in accordance with Touch of Love policy and HIPAA guidelines.

o  Protect written confidential documents in a manner that prevents unauthorized access.

o  Ensure the implementation of confidentiality requirements by all office and on-call coordinators.


6.     Policy and Compliance Adherence:

o  Ensure compliance with applicable state, federal, CHAP, and Joint Commission standards.

o  Attend meetings and educational programs as required.

o  Accept responsibility for personal and professional development and identify learning/developmental needs.

o  Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities.


7.     Additional Duties:

  • o  Perform additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

·        High school graduate, college degree preferred.

·        Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in staffing or related field, preferably including home care.

·        Previous supervisory experience.

·        Experience in a health care setting and knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.

·        Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well with people.

·        Demonstrates organization and time management skills.

·        Speaks, writes, reads, and understands English.

·        Proficient in mathematical skills.

·        Demonstrates skills in organization, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict resolution, and the ability to work independently.

  • ·        Personal computer and data entry skills.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts on Sundays. Compensation is $17.00 - $19.00/hour.
