We are looking for a highly motivated Oiler and Fueler to add to our Shop team located in Lockhart, TX. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail, outstanding time management and communication skills, a commitment to exceptional employee support, and the ability to build relationships at every level of the organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support direct supervisor and adhere to direction.
  • Communicate with supervisor and job site foreman to maintain high efficiency of fueling operations.
  • Travel to job sites and complete fuel, oil, and greasing operations on equipment and vehicles.
  • Complete daily DOT required information, truck inspections, and timecard.
  • Travel to various locations around the front range in fuel truck provided by PGC General Contractors.
  • Work during hours directed by PGC General Contractors to keep our fleet running daily.
  • Work independently or with fellow employees, contractors, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Works well independently and has a passion to learn.
  • Good organization skills and follow through.
  • Alert, focused, and detail oriented.
  • Disciplined, dependable, accountable, and punctual.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of safe work practices.
  • Basic understanding of Caterpillar and construction equipment, principles, and procedures.

 

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED preferred. 
  • Valid and current Commercial Driver’s License.
  • Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements (Fueler required).
  • Experience driving on and off-road commercial vehicles on construction sites a plus. 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of driving a truck.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50+ pounds at times.
  • Must be able to walk on uneven and muddy surfaces.
  • Able to climb up and down equipment using cable ladders, steps, and equipment tracks or tires all while carrying a liquid filled diesel hose in a safe manner. The drag weight of a hose could reach up to 100+ pounds.

 

Work Environment:

  • Indoors – prolong periods of driving a vehicle under various weather conditions.
  • Outdoors – various weather conditions ranging from extreme cold weather to extreme heat.

 

Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Salary: $30.00 to $36.00, based on experience
