About The Role

Job Title: Project Technician I Status: Full-time/Exempt

Reports to: Manager Professional Services Work Schedule: Flexible within normal operational hours

Overview: Communications and Security Technician who performs a myriad of roles in multiple areas; skill sets can very.

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

• Daily Tier I and II support for internal and external users
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers
• Identify and communicate technology solutions and improvements to address business needs to Project Engineers or Manager
• Assist with projects, work and follow up to ensure progress is made as anticipated; assist Project Engineers with installation of equipment and configuration of systems and devices
• Monitor and configure infrastructure and systems
• Install, configure, test and maintain communications and IP security systems and Access Control Systems.
• Proactively strive for the highest levels of system and infrastructure availability internally and for customers
• Work on IP based communications and security systems
• Collaborate with Project Engineers and other IT personnel to resolve problems for internal and external customers
• Assist Project Engineers and IT staff with document management
• Maintain a detailed inventory of technology hardware
• Other duties as assigned or prudent

Education and/or Experience:

• Two-year college degree or Industry certification required
• 1+ years' documented technology or installation experience
• Proficiency in Office applications, specifically Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
• Familiarity with IT terminology (software, hardware, equipment/supplies, networks, telephony, etc.)
• Basic understanding in IP Security Cameras and Access Control Systems
• Demonstrated track record of excellent customer service
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to excellent customer service
• Ability to use independent judgment, maintain a high level of confidentiality and operate under minimal supervision
• Valid Drivers' License and clean driving record required
• Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) required
