Come Grow with Us and Join an Award-Winning Organization Stearns Bank is looking for a Litigation Account Manager. This is a remote-eligible position headquartered out of our Equipment Finance Division in Albany, Minnesota.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the oversight, management of a high-volume loss recovery litigation portfolio for the Equipment Finance Division (EFD) with placement through outside counsel. The position works closely with the EFD Collections Department Managers and legal department to effectively and efficiently pursue recovery of loss accounts.

Starting annual salary of $60,000.00. Employment offers will be dependent upon the selected candidate’s relevant qualifications and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively manage EFD litigation files as assigned and work closely with the Senior Manager of Collections & Strategy and the internal legal department to ensure timelines are met and the appropriate legal actions are being taken to actively achieve recovery.
  • Build relationships with and lead all aspects of performance of outside counsel in a national footprint, including critical metrics for EFD litigation budget and recoveries.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of collection and accounts receivable processes and procedures, ability to analyze and recommend strategies and solutions based on the business requirements, while actively driving litigation files to successful recovery.
  • Analyze and provide guidance and recommendations on litigation strategies for the litigation portfolio.
  • Maintain up-to-date reporting of assigned files to accurately show the history of actions taken or needed, costs expended, and recoveries made.
  • Loss prevention and security as applicable for this position.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of all legal and regulatory compliance issues as they pertain to this position.
  • Perform other duties as necessary for the efficient operations of the department and organization.
  • Complete required training.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
  • Literacy in English.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, twist, bend, sit, walk use hands to twist, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, such as computer mouse, computer keyboard, calculator, stapler, telephone, staple puller, etc., reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, talk, or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Paralegal Certificate or Associate Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; and/or 2-5 years collections or litigation experience.
  • Technical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Superior analytical, project management, time management and organizational skills; ability to coordinate own work and work of others to keep projects on task.
  • Extremely resourceful and ability to prioritize and manage a large workload of diverse matters.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and be agile in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented individual who excels in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer focused.
  • Business-level technical understanding of bank product delivery systems or platforms.
  • Self-motivated to develop accounts receivable/collections expertise, banking industry knowledge and negotiation skills.
