Summary of Job Function

:

Courion is seeking a Machine Operator, who under the direction of the Assembler and Components

Supervisor will

form and label all sheet metal for jobs on the floor.

Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1+ years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of machine tool capabilities

  • Ability to set up and operate NC Press & Mechanical Brake with limited training.

  • Ability to operate a forklift (certification a plus).

  • Excellent Communication and time management skills

  • Attention to Detail - pursues quality in the accomplishment of tasks, regardless of the volume of duties encountered.

  • Excellent communication and time management

  • Organization- Creates or maintains processes to ensure all relevant information or tools are easily accessible.

  • Commitment to Health and Safety- Works in compliance with all applicable health and safety legislation and established policies and procedures.

  • Ownership - Takes pride in the work that is accomplished and understands the function of tasks within the larger picture of the organization. Ensures deadlines are met and work is completed properly.

Duties and Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

  • Read and utilize measuring equipment, such as tape measures, micrometers, squares, protractors, etc., and utilize mathematics to verify job requirements, specifications and maintain quality controls.

  • Read dimensions and accurately adjust the brake setup as necessary to produce desired results.

  • Set up and operate brake press centers to build various items from blueprints.

  • Perform basic machine maintenance.

  • Read and interpret shop/cad drawings and blueprints to conform to specifications.

  • Inspect products and evaluate finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment & Hazards

  • Factory Environment with temperature variations

  • Warehouse Environment with heavy forklift traffic

Special Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift and move parts as needed (< 50 lbs.)

Work Contact Group

  • Significant contact with all employees of Courion and Vantage

  • Contact with direct supervisor and other leadership as required.

You should be proficient in:

  • Troubleshooting CNC Machines

Machines & technologies you'll use:

  • Punch Press
  • Press Brake
  • Hydraulic Shear / Shearing Machine

Salary info:

$18 - $20 / hr
