As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet our rigorous quality standards, comply with customer requirements and all regulatory guidelines. Reports to: Quality Supervisor

Essential Responsibilities & Desired Characteristics

  • Operate safely and effectively within Alloy Engineering’s Quality Management System.
  • Perform quality control inspections on incoming materials, FAI’s, in-process inspections, and finished products.
  • Initiating non-conformance reports (NCR) on nonconforming parts and assemblies to ensure that parts meet quality control procedures, engineering specifications and customer requirements.
  • Attention to detail with a with a high level of accuracy in inspections and documentation while performing in a high paced work environment.
  • Collaborate with the production team to resolve quality issues promptly and accurately.
  • Interact professionally with customer representatives to fulfill their requirements.
  • Report Inspection findings accurately and comprehensively.
  • Willingness to accept additional responsibilities beyond the role described here.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Proficient understanding of basic quality processes (root cause analysis, NCR, CAPA, etc...)
  • Familiar understanding with visual acceptance criteria of welding (per ASME & AWS standards)
  • Ability to read & interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Competence in measuring and testing products/materials against required specifications.
  • Strong proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • General knowledge of the use of standard inspection equipment.
  • Experience with visual and dimensional inspection, NDT testing methods and interpretation such as Liquid Penetrant, ultrasonic testing a plus.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality control activities.
  • Background in materials, welding, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Comfort navigating and using various quality and manufacturing based computer software systems.
  • Results driven.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit, stand, climb stairs daily.
  • Lift at least 50 pounds
  • Standard shift is ten hours per day, with Steel-toe boots and safety glasses required.
