SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Senior Technical Project Manager oversees the planning, tracking and implementation of complex Research and Development Projects and Proton System Installation and Commissioning projects. Project responsibilities encompass all facets of project execution from scope and technical leadership, schedule and budget development through final testing and deployment. Successful projects deliver on-time and on-budget while meeting internal and external stakeholder project objectives.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive the definition of project scope and objectives involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring project feasibility.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, from initial project planning phases through full execution, including internal and external stakeholder signoff and acceptance.
  • Develop detailed project plans including resource requirements and monitor progress against established timelines and schedules.
  • Manage and validate changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
  • Perform risk management and exercise timely mitigation.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors, coordinating activities for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Report and escalate issues and progress to upper management.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation and communication records.
  • Assist in establishing standard templates, tools, and solutions to support the development and execution of future company projects.
  • Lead an elite technical team to drive the project to successful completion within the project schedule and budget.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in engineering, or scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Five or more years of proven performance in managing complex projects, PMP certificate a plus.
  • Prior experience with Particle Accelerators or Proton Therapy System preferred.
  • Proven ability to efficiently analyze complex situations and make decisions with limited information.
  • Proficiency with Project Management software, e.g. Microsoft Project, Smartsheet.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Quality and Regulatory requirements associated with FDA and Medical Devices.
  • Demonstrated understanding of budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, without restriction, as required (
