C. Harper Auto Group is looking for a dedicated and self-motivated Warranty Clerk to join our team. The Warranty Clerk is responsible for processing warranty claims in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with GM's warranty policies and procedures. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of GM warranty guidelines. The Warranty Clerk will work closely with the service department to gather necessary documentation, communicate with GM, and manage warranty claim follow-ups.

Key Responsibilities:
- Warranty Claims Processing: Accurately prepare, submit, and track warranty claims to GM. Ensure all claims are compliant with manufacturer policies and procedures.
- Documentation Management: Maintain and organize all warranty-related documentation, including repair orders, parts returns, and communication records with GM.
- Communication: Liaise with service advisors, technicians, and the parts department to gather necessary information for warranty claims. Communicate with GM warranty representatives regarding claim statuses and any additional information needed.
- Compliance: Stay updated on GM warranty policies and guidelines. Ensure all claims meet the latest requirements and resolve any discrepancies or issues with claims in a timely manner.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all warranty claims, including payment records, denied claims, and follow-ups.
- Reporting: Generate and review warranty reports for the service manager, identifying trends, and areas for improvement in warranty processing.
- Training: Assist in training service advisors and technicians on warranty claim requirements and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or technical school coursework preferred.
- Previous experience in a warranty clerk role, preferably within a GM dealership.
- Strong knowledge of GM warranty policies and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite and dealership management systems (DMS).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
