Who you are and what you do

Analytical, focused, problem solver. As our bookkeeper you are responsible for our day-to-day financials and helping us to use them to make business decisions. You are accountable for day-to-day financial data entry and transactions like purchase orders, sales tax, and expenses along with account reconciliation and making sure our accounting is accurate in our financial reports. You will prepare and process payroll and help our team with HR tasks like time off and team celebrations. Your love of numbers and data makes you an amazing problem solver who is continually looking for ways to improve processes in order to keep our financials up-to-date and accurate. You love to hustle, solve problems, and use data to make decisions.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of bookkeeping and financial experience
  • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets and the ability to use spreadsheets to import and export data and run formulas for analysis of data sets (Google sheets and excel)
  • An eye for seeing what is working well and taking initiative to improve accounting processes
  • A great communicator who can communicate trends, problems, and solutions with the financial data that you see
  • Organized and efficient with the ability to prioritize tasks in order to focus on the things that have the biggest impact
  • Detail oriented--pays attention to the small things and is aware of deadlines and when certain tasks need to be done
  • Self starter that works well alone and without guidance and supervision
  • Understanding of financial statements and reports
  • Account reconciliation experience
  • Fast learner who is willing to change to learn new things
  • Friendly and enjoys working with a team
  • Great with computer and different software. Experience with Quickbooks online is preferred but not required.


Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day financial data entry and importing and matching of transactions between accounts and software
  • Prepare payroll hours and process payroll through a third-party payroll company
  • Manage purchase orders and match up financial payments with purchase orders to maintain accuracy of inventory financial data
  • Month-end accounting statement preparation and review
  • Prepare and file sales tax in multiple states for online sales using reports from our shopping cart and point-of-sale software system
  • Communicate and help manage HR responsibilities with our team like pay changes and time off
  • Communicate directly with our CEO about financials, our accounts, and financial data to help make business decisions


Schedule

  • 20-40 hours each week in our Lehi, Utah office
