About this opportunity

The COO is accountable for creating a great work environment, hiring, engaging, training and developing staff.

Global supply both inbound and outbound would be ideal and is an area where your expertise could be highly valuable with operational excellence.

Managing the performance and results of all manufacturing as they grow due to strong customer demand.

This position coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure that safety, regulatory, quality, cost, service, and efficiency goals are met.

You will create a positive workplace culture through timely communication, employee engagement, and effective decision making.

The COO is responsible for establishing and monitoring key performance metrics and goals for continuous improvement along with operational policies and procedures for clear accountabilities.

A successful candidate must demonstrate strong proactive and empathy based leadership and proven ability to guide and develop people.

The COO will be expected to continue supporting demand and driving growth, hiring and strategy.


Reports directly to ownership and the board.


What you will do

  • Guide and validate daily work and set clear expectations on work assignments
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators, holding team members accountable
  • Monitor appropriate staffing levels
  • Provide coaching
  • Hold regular meetings to communicate and discuss goals, address obstacles and recognize achievements
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Operations Planning
  • Participate in annual budgeting processing, justifying requests
  • Work closely with Planning and Scheduling wo ensure alignment of service goals
  • Foster open, transparent communication throughout the facility
  • Engage employees to collaboratively resolve problems

What you have to offer

Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing preferable in metal products

  • Minimum 6 years of prior direct leadership experience
  • Strong emotional maturity and tactfulness
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead and get along with diverse personalities
  • Demonstrated ability of leadership and decision making
  • Proficient in supervising and coaching team members to improve skills and behaviors, utilizing crucial conversations as appropriate
  • Skillful organization of information in an environment where multi-tasking and re-prioritization is normal
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
