As the Memory Care Assistant Director of Nursing, you will play a pivotal role in leading our nursing team, promoting a culture of inclusivity, and driving excellence in resident care. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care.
- Develop and implement an innovative and inclusive memory care program that meets the diverse needs of our residents.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the memory care team, ensuring the delivery of personalized and high-quality care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, residents, and their families to assess individual needs and preferences.
- Create and oversee engaging and therapeutic activities designed to promote cognitive stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering a culture of inclusivity and professional growth.
- Contribute to the development and execution of staff education and training programs.
- Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of nursing talent.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current license in the state of New Mexico
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of best practices in nursing care.
- Proven experience in a memory care or dementia care setting, with a deep understanding of best practices and person-centered care principles
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a strong emphasis on empathy and active listening
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards related to memory care programs.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of industry trends and regulations.
