In the Expeditor role, you will be responsible for monitoring the flow of work from procurement to product deliveries. The EXP will identify process gaps and will consult with management to determine solutions. We need a pro-active, observant warehouse professional who will go above and beyond keep our products on target and on time. The EXP will maintain open lines of communication with all the departments involved in CWC’s ordering and delivery processes and will serve as the primary point of contact for our customers. The EXP must have good judgment, quick reflexes the ability to multi-task and the coordination skills necessary to meet production and delivery targets.
Core Responsibilities
The EXP will:
- Communicate regularly with the warehouse Manager and Assistant Manager to describe the status on ongoing projects and to identify any areas of need
- Review open orders for efficiency, change sites, part numbers, dates to improve workflow
- Work with logistics supervisor to ensure orders are being shipped in proper manner to meet customer requirements and to minimize freight costs
- Verify orders are being shipped from correct warehouse locations to maximize profit
- Monitor and maintain project and delivery schedule
- Prioritize projects based on deadlines
- Enter transfer orders between sites as needed for stock replenishment
- Manage inventory levels to balance on hand quantities for current and future orders
- Create production schedule daily for cut lines to meet sales priorities and maximize production
- Create daily order priority list and communicate with shipping & logistics supervisors to ensure that hot orders are shipping on time
- Assist during inventory and work with quality/inventory team on adjustments and location verifications
- Assist reps/sales team to verify inventory availability for quotes and orders
- Ensure to move material with RF scanner when physically moving it within the warehouse
Comply with company attendance point system - Continue to develop and build processes, techniques and strategies to improve workflow
- Document any disruptive process issues and offer thoughtful solutions
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, noting anything the needs improvement
- Facilitate implementation of need-based solutions
- Foster strong internal and external relationships
- Streamline interdepartmental communication
- Participate in company-wide warehouse inventories and other activities
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- At least 2 years prior warehouse or supply chain experience
- Can-Do Attitude; talent for problem-solving and building relationships
- Punctual, reliable, loyal, and professional
- Enjoys working as part of a team

- Willing to learn in-house systems and to accept coaching
- Understands shipping, warehouse, or inventory operations
- Knows and respects safety practices in a warehouse
- Self-Motivated; works quickly and accurately without needing direct supervision
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to obtain use various transportation equipment (motorized and non motorized), and to obtain forklift or picker license if required
- Ability to lift heavy objects and use forklift
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, D365 and Excel programs
