The Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the collection of data used to track company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). They will review current systems to ensure data adequacy and usability, making revisions or implementing new data collection methods as needed. The Quality Engineer will also review inspection methods and processes, ensuring they provide an accurate representation of collected data and implementing improvements where necessary.

- Review current data systems for adequacy and usability, making revisions or implementing new methods as needed.
- Analyze collected data to determine if KPIs are meeting requirements; implement corrective actions if necessary.
- Review and improve processes to ensure alignment with quality requirements, customer expectations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Identify gaps between data/observations and quality requirements, and develop programs to close these gaps.
- Work to deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Develop detailed inspection plans for current and new products, focusing on key characteristics.
- Identify areas for improvement, provide documentation and costing for improvements, and implement approved changes.
- Collaborate effectively with multiple departments and possess strong communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each ESSENTIAL DUTY satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Education - 4 year BS/BA degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or related field or relevant experience.
- Experience – 5+ years’ experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing environment with experience in electronics assembly, testing, fabrication. Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies. In-depth understanding of technical documentation.
- Language and Communication Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures. Talking to others to convey information effectively. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Reasoning Ability- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Organizational Support--Follows policies and procedures; Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports organization's goals and values.

- Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance

- Computer Knowledge - Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word). Knowledge of Google suite of application, Adobe, Oracle is preferred.
