This Land Surveyor role will focus on growing the survey department and will supervise, mentor and train survey technicians to develop their survey capabilities. This role as a Professional Land Surveyor will also perform and oversee surveying activities such as boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking, etc.

Job Description

  • Research previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys and draft and review legal descriptions.
  • Travel to various jobsites to obtain necessary survey data and jobsite information.
  • Gather field survey data to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, and contours, etc.
  • Manage land surveying projects to meet schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate with project managers/clients on project progress.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D to prepare plats, maps, record drawings, and other legal survey documents.
Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in surveying, including topography, boundary surveys, platting, construction staking, and preparing legal descriptions
  • Excellent computer and technical skills, including Microsoft Office, Auto CAD/Civil 3D and/or Micro Station.
  • Nebraska registered Professional Land Surveyor.
  • Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven work history, strong work ethic and team-player attitude.
  • Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
