Caregiver

Job Summary:
The Caregiver at Village Caregiving - Clarksburg is a full-time, hourly position located in Weston, West Virginia. As a member of our healthcare/medical team, the Caregiver will provide individualized care and support to our clients within their homes. The primary role of the Caregiver is to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of our clients while promoting their independence and maintaining their dignity. This is an individual contributor role, requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a compassionate and patient demeanor.

Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position ranges from $12 to $14 per hour, paid biweekly. Village Caregiving - Clarksburg also offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a retirement savings plan.

Responsibilities:

- Provide personal care services, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, according to client's individual care plan
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including the use of mobility aids and assisting with physical therapy exercises
- Assist with medication reminders 
- Monitor and report changes in clients' physical and emotional status to the care team
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in activities they enjoy and promoting social interactions
- Complete household tasks, such as light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation, to maintain a safe and clean environment for the client
- Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social outings
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the health and well-being of the client
- Maintain documentation and records accurately and timely

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in caregiving or healthcare preferred
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
