Geodesicx, Inc. is in search of a Warehouse Specialist to join our team in the Norfolk, VA area.

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for performing various warehouse duties, including inventory management, staging, packing, storage, and shipping of electronic equipment and related materials. This role supports various Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) and Command and Control (C2) systems across multiple platforms supporting Department of Defense end users.

Specific Duties:

  • Perform shipping and receiving operations, including inventory management, tagging and labeling, and database maintenance in accordance with the NAVSUP Publication P723, NAVSUP Internal Control Aids (ICA), and NAVSUP Lines of Effort (LOE).
  • Conduct warehouse operations support for programs as assigned.
  • Provide commercial material transportation support and local material delivery to government and military locations.
  • Transmit Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Document Identifier Code (DIC) transactions for requisitions that cannot be filled within specified timeframes.
  • Manage NAVSUP inventory in accordance with NAVSUP P-723, Inventory Integrity Standards, and NAVSUP Internal Control Aids (ICA)/Lines of Effort (LOE) procedures.
  • Conduct Not Ready for Issue (NRFI) Screening/Testing to verify failure occurrence and process assets for repair or warranty replacement as necessary.
  • Verify requisitions using Allowance Parts Lists (APLs) and CDMDOA, as well as other configuration information, to ensure properly configured material is provided.
  • Perform inventory demand management analysis to determine minimum and maximum levels of Ready for Issue (RFI) spares.

Experience Requirements:

  • Two (2) years of warehouse experience to include: performing inventory staging, packing, storage, and shipping of electronic equipment and related material.
  • Experience operating motor vehicles and material handling equipment.
  • Experience utilizing a computer-based inventory and barcoding system for entry, identification, and tracking of material.

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
