Manufacturing Intern

As a Manufacturing Continuous Improvement (CI) Intern, you will get to work and learn alongside Duke's team of Continuous Improvement, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and Operations leaders to see how CI/QA supports practices in manufacturing, and Lean/CI to produce quality products to meet the needs of our customers.

The focus of this role for Summer 2024 will be to participate in the activities of the Continuous Improvement department and utilize this knowledge to update our SharePoint online toolkit and develop standard work documents to best support the business. You will gain valuable practical experience in capital goods manufacturing and have an opportunity to contribute and make a difference

This is a paid onsite internship.

Ideal requirements:

• Student enrolled in IT, Engineering, Operations Management, or Industrial Tech or other related degree program
• Proficient and experienced using Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Word); prefer Advanced/Expert-level SharePoint experience.
• Good communication skills - Verbal and written; experience with webpage design, content creation and procedure development a plus
