What you will be supporting:
DRT will provide CPIC, Enterprise Architecture, and data policy support to improve CDC IT Governance oversight, rigor and scrutiny, and to improve transparency and visibility to meet and fully comply with federal and public health requirements, policy, and guidance.

What are we looking for?
The Data Standardization Specialist will work with a team of public health and IT governance specialists in supporting and enhancing IT strategy. The Specialist will assess existing data frameworks, processes, and requirements. The Specialist will plan improvements to the current state and execute those strategies to achieve improved standardization. Data sets will include IT categorization, IT spend, IT budget, IT risks, and IT project owners.

Fun stuff you will do on the job:
• Conducts analyses of IT governance data repositories
• Identifies applicable federal government technology standards
• Validates and performs quality checks of manually and automated data entry
• Coordinates with IT governance team members to align the IT strategy with current and future requirements
• Prepares presentations, short trainings, and standard operating procedure documents to improve data quality/standardization

This is you:
• Must have or be able to obtain a Public Trust with the US federal government
• At least two years of experience supporting federal government IT projects
• Knowledge of federal government IT practices, policies, and guidance such as FITARA, CPIC, EPLC, and TBM
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft SharePoint
• Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Must be well-organized, proactive, and works well in a team-setting

You will wow us even more if you have these skills:
• Recent experience with HHS or CDC environment and standards

Education & Training:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public health, or related field

Currently due to the remote working status of the federal government, most DRT employees are teleworking from home and leveraging video conferencing along with other virtual productivity tools.
