WholesomeCo is committed to improving medical cannabis accessibility by putting patients' needs first and guiding them along their personal cannabis journeys. This role will oversee the staff and production/packaging operations for cannabis infused/manufactured products. Responsible for supporting, monitoring, and analyzing current systems and procedures of operations and productions and logistics to ensure effectiveness.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee the production processes, internal tracking and compliance, order process and inventory management, and enforcing product quality control standards
- Create and follow production schedules and manage staffing and resource needs to achieve production goals
- Monitor production metrics to identify and resolve issues and implement process improvements, including compiling and submitting reports
- Monitoring of volume and quality of output and adjustment of tasks when necessary to ensure production throughput targets are met
- Monitor employee performance daily to ensure that overall product quality and company safety standards are consistently executed
- Maintain par levels in the vault and accurate inventory counts, planning for managing sell through in addition to ensuring correct inventory product allocation for medical use.
- Train and supervise employees; provide continuous training and instruction regarding Compliance and Safety.
- Work with HR in attracting net new high-performance staff and proactively manage organizational structure
- Ensure accuracy of seed-to-sale tracking
- Ensure all operational SOP’s are followed as outlined in WholesomeCo Policies and Procedures
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of applicable state and federal cannabis laws
- Support facility-level employee relations, including onboarding, scheduling, and discipline
- Support internal communications
- Track and measure staff performance.
- Train staff on new products; train direct leadership in areas needed, including setting quarterly expectations
- Support system implementation, and ensure the right employees are trained on right systems
- Calculate and allocate available cannabinoids/high-expense rudiments between products and sales channels; while maintaining raw material inventory and WIP inventories to feed final product manufacturing
- Interface with vendors and help with vendor contracts directly related to the processing operations and finished goods
- Supervise new equipment purchases or repairs and construction projects in production sectors including job safety analyses on new equipment and ensure they exist for equipment in use
- Coordinate with security team to ensure security of the staff, facility, and products while supporting the security key fob system
- Ability to work well with others in high-pressure situations with a sense of urgency
- Effectively communicate information and respond to questions/suggestions from various levels within the company
- Perform visual quality inspections on products, minimize waste where possible.
- Ensure that health and safety regulations are met and enforce use of PPE
- Occasional weekend work or extended workdays
- Maintain high-quality standards during shifts including frequent and regulated QA/QC of all products being prepped and produced, regarding weights, appearance of product, flavor profile, and additional items
- Report to the Director of Extraction/Production on a weekly basis with updates regarding production and processing schedule
- Other job duties as requested
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience leading teams in a production/manufacturing environment, to meet goals (Cannabis background not required, but is a huge plus)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to sit, stand, kneel and/or crouch for extended periods of time
- Must pass a pre-employment/post-offer background check
- Must be 21 years of age or older
