River Road Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our fun and growing team We are looking for a Veterinary Technician with exceptional client service, communication skills, and attention to detail with a positive and compassionate attitude

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform venipuncture for phlebotomy and catheter placement
  • Obtain laboratory samples and accurately and efficiently process and interpret results (fecal/parasite analysis, ear cytology, skin cytology, urinalysis, blood smears)
  • Administer vaccines and medications (oral, topical, injectable)
  • Ability to assist in surgery and perform dental cleanings preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate and educate clients
  • Use of computerized medical records and invoicing
  • Experience in anesthetic induction, monitoring and recovery

Qualifications:

  • CVT, LVT, RVT licensure preferred but not required
  • Motivated to maintain our standards of excellent client services and high- quality patient care
  • Team player with exceptional client service and communication skills, attention to detail with a positive and compassionate attitude
  • Minimum of 1-year of experience as a Veterinary Technician preferred
  • Veterinary software experience is a plus
  • Hours will include some evenings and weekends. Scheduled to fill our business needs. Hourly wage will commensurate with experience.
