Our client is seeking an experienced Business/Functional Analyst for Phase I of their finance management system migration project. This phase involves conducting a feasibility study and producing deliverables that will inform Phase II, specifically to aid in the "build vs. buy" decision and provide scoping and functional specification documents for implementation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze and assess the multiple accounting and finance systems, including their subsystems.
  • Document system functions, inputs, outputs, and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with business subject matter experts (SMEs) and developers to gather and document Phase I business requirements, with an emphasis on cost allocation and associated financial modules.
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis between system features, to map and identify gaps.
  • Create detailed functional specifications and requirements documents.
  • Develop solution design documents to support development and implementation efforts.
  • Assist in the creation of test suites and test cases for testing and validation of solution modules.
  • Prepare and present status reports, risks, and concerns to stakeholders.
  • Provide deliverables to support the "build vs. buy" decision and contribute to Phase II of the project implementation.

Job Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Business/Functional Analyst (5+ years) with a proven track record of delivering result
  • Experience working with financial accounting systems and modules.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver functional requirements, fit-gap analysis, and requirements documents for enterprise-level systems
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of info with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey and document details

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
