Banyan Treatment Centers is recruiting an Intake Coordinator to join our team in Wasilla, AK.

The Intake Coordinator is responsible for taking new clients through the Intake/Admissions process, including welcoming and orienting clients, collecting and verifying all personal information, obtaining signatures on all required forms and documents, verifying insurance information and benefits, and collecting all out-of-pocket payments. In addition, this position has some BHT responsibilities as well. Some of those duties include client transportation, facilitating groups, ensuring clients adhere to program rules, completing 30-minute rounds, and assisting with collecting random UAs.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Full-time; scheduled days and shift to be further discussed.
  • Location: On-site presence required in Wasilla, AK.
  • Compensation: Starting at $20.50/hourly.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitors Salesforce on a consistent basis to check for pending admissions.
  • Creates potential admission files in Kipu.
  • Upload VOB, Pre-Admission Screening, demographic information, insurance information, marketer/referral information in Kipu.
  • Assists in obtaining necessary consents, identifications, and financial documents needed to admit patient.
  • Converts Leads to Admits in Salesforce.
  • Updates whiteboard to include travel information, projected bed, patient description, and phone number.
  • Assists with intakes, as needed.
  • Approaches clients/family members, significant others, and visitors with a respectful caring manner to convey a sense of concern and warmth.
  • Maintains updated competencies required to perform client assessments.
  • Assists with coordinating travel with BHT supervisors.

Preferences:

  • Experience with KIPU EMR preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with community resources

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree and/or meets experience requirements.
  • 1-2 years' work experience in the field of substance abuse and/or mental health, preferred.
