The Town of Brookline is seeking a temporary full-time Senior Clerk Typist to support the operations of the Building Department. This role is primarily a reception role with high volume phone calls as well as customer contact in-person and online. The temporary Senior Clerk-Typist will perform administrative and customer service duties, handling reception services and customer service requests in-person at the front counter, by phone, and online; provides clerical support to building inspectors and other departmental staff; assists with fulfilling Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, performs filing, scanning, copying, etc.; Performs other related work, as required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma; one to two years of office and/or customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of office practices preferred. Strong customer services skills and attention to detail. Strong technical and computer skills. Skilled at using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other business software. Ability to organize time and complete tasks to meet deadlines.

$26.22 hourly, 37.5 hour weekly. Start date ASAP. Position expected to last through May 2024. Please apply with resume and cover letter. Position is open until filled.
