Job DescriptionJob Description

As the IT Intern, you be operating in a collaborative, open environment focused on using Agile development techniques to autonomously deliver solutions quickly and effectively. This will be a valuable experience for any student pursuing a career in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or Data Analytics.

Responsibilities:

Will support the software development team by:

  • Application development using object oriented programming.
  • Assisting with software architectural design.
  • Troubleshooting code defects.
  • Applying modern coding practices to improve quality and efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3.00+ cumulative GPA.
  • Junior/Senior standing.
  • Actively pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics or a related field.
  • Willingness to work full time during the summer and part time during the school year.

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Independent thinker
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exposure to one or more of the following technologies and/or development languages:
    • .NET (C#)
    • Java
    • JavaScript
    • HTML & CSS

Pay: $20 to $24/hour (Commensurate with college level and experience)

*The successful candidate will initially be hired as an employee of GuideOne Insurance Company and automatically become an employee of TMG on the company's official transition date.
