Senior Quality Assurance Analyst (Construction)– FAA – Washington DC


Grant Leading Technology (GLT) is seeking a self-motivated candidate for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst role. The successful candidate will work with clients to provide quality assurance oversight on construction projects and ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. We are looking for a quality assurance analyst with a dedicated, creative approach to construction quality assurance and project management.
This position is a hybrid work requirement for remote work and WILL require some onsite time and the hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm EST.

The two FAA offices are located at 600 Independence Ave, SW and 800 Independence Ave, SW in downtown Washington, DC.

Currently we are engaged in a search for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst with construction and or interior fit out/ renovation experience for our client’s National Capital Regional Projects.

We are looking for someone who knows construction, can oversee quality assurance on construction, can read drawings, and must be a strong communicator.  Experience with project management and risk management best practices is a plus.

Responsibilities: 

  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance
  • Review construction plans, specifications, reports, and other documents
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control measures on projects
  • Conduct research to identify needed solutions and resolve problems
  • Perform on-site quality assurance audits
  • Manage requirements and expectations of customers and stakeholders.
  • Seek the necessary approvals for responses, as needed
  • Develop, maintain, and review client's project status slide briefings.
  • Develop, maintain, and review project schedules.
  • Develop project scopes, project management plans, and other project documents
  • Develop and updating requirements documents, and statements of work
  • Develop and updating comments resolution matrices
  • Track and monitor action items for reporting through completion
  • Utilize collaboration site to track minutes, action items, assist in the response to requests for status, and maintaining the team site's content to ensure it is relevant, accurate, and up to date
  • Capture requirements from meetings. 
  • Manage customer's consultation process to include coordinating engagement meetings and follow-ups
  • Perform analysis of functional areas to recommend changes, when necessary.
  • Research best practices and industry technologies and/or tools to recommend to the government client to enhance efficiency
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Bachelors' degree in related field
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • 10+ years of related construction project management or program analyst experience required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
  • Proficiency with MS Project or similar schedule management required
  • Proficiency with construction drawings, specifications, and submittals
  • Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills required
  • US resident with an ability to pass public trust clearance

Preferred Skills:
  • Construction knowledge and experience in interior commercial office space
  • Knowledge and experience with ProCore: Construction Software or similar
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable
  • Experience with logistical moves
  • Commercial furniture design, procurement, and management experience
