GENERAL FUNCTION
Performs various types of welding and metal fabrication. Must demonstrate the skills necessary to construct and maintain the natural gas distribution system, and to provide high quality gas service to all customers.
EXPERIENCE
Must have one (1) year gas welding experience, preferably pipeline and be able to successfully complete the Gas Maintenance Program within the allowable time frame to be able to take call out.
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Must be capable of making electric arc welds on gas piping under the API 1104 Welding of Pipelines & Related Facilities. The individual must complete the API 1104 and associated Operator Qualifications (OQ) and complete the Midwest Energy Gas Maintenance Program within the allowable time frame. Kansas Driver’s License (CDL Class A) is required.
WAGES: The wage scale for this position is listed in the IBEW Collective Bargaining Agreement.
