Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to use a multiple line phone and take phone messages and get messages to the proper staff member in a timely manner.
  • Must know how to use Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Complete and maintain a transportation route sheet using Excel spreadsheet.
  • Multitask on a daily basis.
  • Cross trained with Bookkeeping in the event that the Bookkeeper is out of the office.
  • Assist in completing membership and record on computer.
  • Help clients apply for Golden Buckeye Card.
  • Write up any and all needed items requested for newsletter, help prepare the newsletter for mailing, including making copies (take newsletter to post office in the event of the bookkeeper’s absence).
  • Maintain a cash box and log for monies collected for, donations, trip payment, membership etc./fill out deposit slip for bank
  • Go to Bank with daily deposit.
  • Prepare Badges on Computer for Trips.
  • Assist the Executive Director, Assistant Director or Director of Nutrition/Assistant when necessary.
  • Able to assist clients when applying for Mid-Ohio Food Bank Commodities & HEAP applications
  • Be willing to stay during evening/weekend events.
  • Fax menu every Monday to Newspaper and Radio
  • Answer questions about the COA and Senior Nutrition.
  • Put away all offices supplies when delivered. Take supplies to Senior Nutrition Director/Assist.
  • Abide by all Title IlI l and PASSPORT rules of confidentially.
  • Be kind and courteous to clients
  • Be professional NO CUSSING in the office or within the COA building.
  • Complete First Aid/CPR/AED course and Defensive Driving course.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • High school Diploma
  • Two years office experience answering phones, greeting customers.
  • Must have two years of experience bookkeeping skills.
  • Must know how to use Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to problem solve.

Occasional lifting of 15 pounds or less (boxes, paper, office supplies, etc.). Required to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, stoop, bend, twist, reach and drive a passenger vehicle.  Must be able to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, computer, printer, phone). Must wear personal protective gear as required on work sites.   Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with and on behalf of others
