The Inova Ambulatory Surgery Center at Lorton stands as a comprehensive outpatient facility dedicated to delivering exceptional care. Situated conveniently near the intersection of Lorton Road, I-95, and Route 1, within the Inova Lorton HealthPlex, our surgery center holds licensing from the state of Virginia, certification from Medicare, and accreditation from AAAHC.

We specialize in providing cost-effective outpatient services, leveraging cutting-edge technology, all within a warm, compassionate environment. Our highly skilled and empathetic staff proudly serve Alexandria, the Route 1 corridor, and surrounding communities, ensuring every patient receives the utmost care and attention.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Conduct care to patients across the Perianesthesia scope
  • Monitor and chart vital signs, such as heart or respiratory rate, blood pressure, or oxygen level
  • Comfort patients as they wake; may be required to gently restrain patients
  • Check surgical site for excessive bleeding or swelling
  • Educate patients on care for surgical wounds or other post-discharge care.
  • Cross-train to work in pre-operative area to meet the needs of the unit


EXPERIENCE YOU'LL NEED:

  • One or more years of PACU/Critical Care nursing experience in an ambulatory surgery or acute hospital setting
  • Prior PreOp and PostOp experience in an ASC is strongly desired
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing institution, BSN preferred
  • Current licensure in Virginia as a Registered Nurse
  • Current BLS certification
  • ACLS/PALS certification preferred within six (6) months of date of hire
