Job DescriptionJob Description

This position will provide technical guidance and leadership for on-shift personnel in the fatty acids manufacturing department.

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring safe work conditions in the plant.
  • Ensure satisfactory housekeeping standards are maintained
  • Ensure requirements in Hourly Handbook are met and appropriate corrective measures are taken when necessary
  • Providing guidance and direction to shift personnel in support of the production schedule and process area metrics.
  • Provide guidance and direction to non-daylight and weekend maintenance trades. Ensure on-shift personnel enter maintenance requests using SAP.
  • Serve on the plant Emergency Response Team (ERT) as Incident Command
  • Ensure environmental compliance during non-daylight and weekend hours including
    • Proper operation of the department odor control systems,
    • Mill creek monitoring and spill response,
    • Positive control of Mill creek storm water discharges,
    • Source tracking and control of fatty acids odor complaints

Shift:

  • 8-hour swing shift with rotating off days
  • Required to work 12-hour shifts when necessary

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-5 years of leadership experience (preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment) preferred
  • DCS console operating experience
  • Must have an ability to lift over 50 pounds
  • Must be respirator fit tested
