POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: Estimator Apprentice

SUMMARY:

The Estimator Apprentice will work with an experienced Estimator to outline the tasks on the written repair order and estimate the repair work for the pre-accident condition. The Estimator apprentice will also ensure customer satisfaction, repair quality and efficiency and gain experience in the field.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer inbound calls in a timely and professional manner, and give messages to recipient immediately if question cannot be answered
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards all customers at all times
  • Schedule customer based on information entered into the systems, or contact the respective shop to alert team.
  • Schedule rental provider to make sure that they are prepared with the car at the ready
  • Ability to stay calm and professional around customers in distress
  • Assist with preparing insurance forms to show repair cost estimate
  • Assist with assesing vehicles damage through inspecions
  • Draft work order with required repair and enter into CollisionRight’s system
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma, GED, or work equivalent required
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer service-related role
  • Experience in automotive industry is desired but not required
  • Comfortable using computers
