Job Title: Wound Care LVN

Job Summary:

The Wound Care Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and/or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) provide clinical care on patients with wounds under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or physician. They assess wounds, clean and dress wounds, and apply medications to promote healing. They also educate patients on wound care and how to prevent complications. Actively and consistently contributes to department operations and communications, behaves in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Pipeline Health, upholding standards of AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank you) patient communication.

Experience:

  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a LVN/LPN in a general acute care healthcare setting.
  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, strong organizational skills, ability to follow verbal instructions, and PC (computer) skills.
  • A capacity to learn, synthesize, make critical judgments, work independently, place patients and families first, and collaborate with the team members who are recognized leaders within health care.

Education:

  • N/A

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Current License or Certification as a Vocational (LVN) or Practical Nurse (LPN) in state of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA), required.
