Summary of Position:

We are looking for a Receptionist to join our family. Under the direct supervision of the Outreach Coordinator for Health Net Gaston, the front desk clerk/receptionist performs routine clerical, secretarial, and administrative work, including answering telephones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance, greeting all catering services, and directing all visitors to appropriate meeting rooms. Receptionist Qualifications:

Minimum: One to two years experience in front office support / receptionist / administration position.

Education: High school education with administration support studies.

Certification(s)/Licensure: None

Receptionist Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assists with administrative tasks to support the work of HealthNet Gaston, Kintegra Health Medical Records/Health Information Management, and Purchasing.
  2. Answers central telephone system and directs calls accordingly.
  3. Schedules appointments and makes reminder calls
  4. Screens patients for HealthNet Gaston Eligibility
  5. Receives the public and answers questions, in person and by telephone; responds to inquiries from employees, citizens, and others and refers, when necessary, to the appropriate person, official, or department.
  6. Operates listed office machines as required.
  7. Prepares outgoing mail; sorts and distributes incoming mail, add funding to mail postage machine.
  8. Duplicates and distributes materials.
  9. Assists the public with the use of department facilities.
  10. Data Entry
  11. Other duties as assigned.
