Job Category

As a key member of the Analytics team, you will be responsible for data-driven insights that contribute to QuinStreet's Marketplace growth. You will gather, organize, and aggregate complex datasets and business rules to produce meaningful insights in areas such as campaign structure, pricing, budgeting, traffic allocation, quality, and network dynamics. You are expected to be the advocate for growth leveraging those insights and will work closely with other teams in the category to turn them into positive results for the company.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with media and client account managers to identify opportunities for client optimization and market expansion.
  • Actively mine data from our marketplace and client datasets to develop business and predictive models using various statistical techniques.
  • Responsible for pursuing actionable opportunities by working with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support ongoing analysis and monitoring of key business metrics.
  • Build complex and multi-layered forecasts in Excel and Tableau for business planning.
  • Key liaison between business and technical resources in managing day to day data analytics.

Requirements

  • Record of high academic achievement with a BS degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Math/Science, or otherwise proven background in business/analytics. MS preferred.
  • 3+ years of work experience in data analytics/science.
  • Strong analytical and problem solver mindset with a drive towards actionable insights from data.
  • Deep interest in online marketing and media industry. Industry experience a plus.
  • High internal motivation with ability to understand the full stack of product development.
  • Willingness to initiate and own research, exploration, and analysis from start to finish for any business problem.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to remain focused-yet-flexible in a fast-paced internet company environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, SQL, Tableau and Python scripting.
The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 USD to $130,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company's compensation practices. The salary may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The position is also eligible to receive performance bonus or commission and equity in the form of restricted stock units. This position is eligible to participate in the Company's standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits; (2) retirement benefits; (3) the amount of paid days off (paid sick leave, parental leave, paid time off, or vacation benefits); (4) any other tax-reportable benefits.#LI-REMOTE

Flexibility for occasional travel to different offices or events is essential to fulfill the duties of this role. This may include attending meetings, conferences, or training sessions, as well as collaborating with team members or partners in various locations. While travel requirements may vary, candidates should be prepared to engage in occasional travel as needed to support business objectives and foster professional relationships.
