WTWH Media is seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Digital Editor for its Engineering (ENG) tower. This person will play an instrumental role in the future success of the newly launched B2B media brand, Packaging OEM, serving food/beverage, CPG, and life science segments.


You will shape and execute our coverage of the packaging sector, from breaking news to in-depth original stories that analyze trends. You will develop the editorial direction, write and edit high-quality original content, cultivate relationships with stakeholders, hunt down important stories, and collaborate with colleagues in the WTWH editorial department. On a day-to-day basis the Digital Editor will create, edit, format, and publish various forms of digital content, including articles, videos, newsletters, webinars, and special projects. Part of the content creation process will require being in front of the camera to interview subject matter experts or share information on social media. As the publication grows, the editor may also assist with the production of custom content, including sponsored articles, white papers and thought-leadership series.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree (or higher) in Journalism or Communications.
  • Experience in the packaging industry is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, solve problems, and consistently meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Two+ years of experience working in a media or marketing environment.
  • Ability to understand and clearly communicate information on technical topics.
  • Excellent content editing skills for written technical content.
  • Experience with video editing.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, etc., is a plus.
  • Great oral communication skills, including in front of a camera or public speaking.
  • Understanding of SEO and creating content that drives target audience opens and clicks.
  • Comfortable using social media for audience engagement.
  • Deadline-oriented time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics or other website monitoring tools.
  • Willingness to travel and cover industry events or customer meetings.
