We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to join our team at Glenn Metalcraft. The mission of the Quality Control Technician is to maintain and improve quality systems, verify product conformance to requirements, and develop methods and corrective measures to prevent nonconforming products.

**Key Responsibilities

**

  • Work with production effectively to ensure products meet requirements.

  • Analyze information objectively and act in the best interests of the company and customer.

  • Support, promote, and reinforce the Quality Management System

  • Document and maintain/improve inspection plans, quality training, and knowledge (CAPA, ECR, DOC)

  • Produce monthly and yearly metrics reports as necessary

  • Provide training of QMS and inspection tools/equipment

  • Ensure zero non-conformities passed through receiving inspection.

  • Provide on time and accurate Faro Arm programming if applicable.

  • Prepare professional inspection documentation per customer required inspection plans

  • Address non-conforming material in Quality hold area within 24 hours

  • Monitor and maintain calibration certifications and strive for zero findings during QMS audits

  • Maintain inspection equipment, and ensure that all measurement tools are calibrated and in good working condition

  • Assist in measuring in-process production parts and inspection, including random quality checks

  • Promote and reinforce quality objectives and ensure that all parts are made to print

  • Provide department support and assist in projects as directed by Manager

**Qualifications

**

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Control

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Standards knowledge – ISO, AS9100, ITAR, DoD

  • 1-2 years CMM programming experience

  • Advanced understanding of GD&T

**Skills and Competencies

**

  • Communication skills – verbal, written, interpersonal

  • Strong computer skills and software knowledge

  • Ability to prioritize effectively

  • Process and procedural writing techniques

  • Process auditing experience strongly preferred

  • Background in manufacturing and manufacturing procedures

  • Working knowledge of inspection techniques and philosophies

**Physical Requirements

**

  • Lift document storage boxes up to 25 lbs. occasionally

  • Ability to stand for up to 10 hours

  • Excellent hand/eye coordination

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use power tools

  • Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina

  • Consistently wear personal protective equipment

  • Sitting for extended periods of time

  • Regular use of telephone and email for communication

  • Ability to walk short distances
