YOUR DAY AS AN AUTOMATION ENGINEERING LEAD

In this engineer role, you will dedicate your expertise to supporting and advising Project Engineers on medium to high-complexity projects, ensuring all technical aspects meet customer expectations. You will create flowcharts and engineering documents to identify software requirements and propose solutions while designing and developing computer software systems for our clients in the food industry. You will manage the technical scope of work to achieve project goals, participate in project reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers. Additionally, you will assist the Project Manager in ensuring proper project execution, resolve technical issues during all project phases, and continuously capture and apply learned lessons to enhance performance and quality. Utilizing your expertise in technologies such as WinCos Scada, Mercury Scada, VisiWin, Rockwell Automation Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, and various programming languages, you will drive innovation and excellence in every project.


REQUIREMENTS FOR AN AUTOMATION ENGINEERING LEAD

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in control and automation engineering, electrical engineering, robotics engineering, mechatronics engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years in controls and automation engineering, including programming
  • Expertise in developing application solutions using multiple programs and software
  • Experience in supporting and advising project engineers
  • Proven ability to resolve questions or problems during design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, start-up, and operation
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time
