This role is centered around hydraulic component repair within a workshop setting. The Pump Shop Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and testing hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. They play a key role in the maintenance and restoration of hydraulic systems.
Job Duties Include:
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
- Disassemble, inspect, and identify faulty components in hydraulic components.
- Perform necessary repairs, including replacement of damaged parts, reconditioning, and assembly.
- Test repaired components to ensure they function correctly and meet specifications.
- Collaborate with other team members and provide technical expertise in hydraulic component repair.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding repair progress and any potential challenges.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Proven experience in hydraulic component repair or related mechanical field.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, and motors.
- Proficient in the disassembly, repair, and reassembly of hydraulic components.
- Familiarity with hydraulic seals, materials, and industry best practices.
- Ability to accurately diagnose issues and implement appropriate repair solutions.
