About Advaita Integrated Medicine (AIM): At AIM, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare through psychiatry, medication management, preventative primary care, and therapy to adults struggling with substance use and a range of mental health disorders. Our approach is interdisciplinary, values-based, and focused on helping each patient flourish through integrated, sophisticated care.
Role Overview: As a Psychiatric Physician Assistant at AIM, you'll work under the guidance of our Medical Director to deliver exceptional patient care within your scope of practice. This includes conducting psychiatric evaluations, managing medications, performing health assessments, and developing tailored treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a diverse clinical team to assess, diagnose, and treat patients.
- Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans following best medical practices.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and physical exams.
- Order and interpret lab tests, communicating results and care plans effectively to patients.
- Engage in patient education regarding treatment options and preventive care.
- Maintain meticulous medical records and ensure seamless care transitions when referring patients for higher levels of care.
- Provide primary medical care services, as applicable.
What We're Looking For:
- Master of Science in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience, particularly in mental health and substance use disorders.
- Current North Carolina state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Strong clinical assessment skills with an ability to implement evidence-based practices.
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- A compassionate approach, with an emphasis on providing culturally sensitive and inclusive care.
- Proficiency in using modern healthcare and office technology.
