Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Manufacturing Kitting Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitting process and leading the picking team to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing operations, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the kitting team to accurately and efficiently assemble kits according to customer orders.
  • Train new team members on kitting procedures and safety protocols.
  • Monitor team performance and provide feedback to improve productivity and accuracy.
  • Coordinate kitting schedules to meet customer demand and production targets.
  • Monitor kitting processes to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve any kitting issues and optimize workflow.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for kitted components and ensure stock levels are sufficient to meet production requirements.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to replenish kitting materials as needed.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure kits meet specifications and standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of kitted components to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment during kitting operations.
  • Conduct safety training sessions for kitting team members and ensure adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Investigate and report any accidents or near misses and implement preventive measures.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in a kitting or supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet production deadlines.
