Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOur client is on the search for a Cost Accountant to join the Finance and Accounting team. This individual has experience within the real estate and/or construction industries. The Cost Accountant will assist the Controller in overseeing expenditures, reconciliations, and data keeping. This role has hybrid flexibility, but requires traveling to the project site when needed.

Responsibilities of the Cost Accountant:
  • Analyze costs, expenses, and budgets to ensure accuracy
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify areas for efficiency improvement
  • Conduct variance analysis
  • Assist with audits
  • Understand and comply with GAAP for financial statements
  • Monitor project costs and compare with budget
  • Participate in the development of annual budgets
  • Manage inventory
  • All other duties as assigned


Requirements4+ years of experience in:
  • Cost accounting in construction and/or real estate
  • ProCore
  • Solid cost systems
Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
Ability to work indoors and outdoors
Ability to lift and carry items greater than 50 pounds
