Job Summary
The Lead Massage Therapist is responsible for providing guests with comprehensive and professional massages, baths, and body therapies. Must have excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills and maintain a high level of customer service standards. Must have the ability to perform services using proper draping techniques, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism at all times. Scheduling, dependability, and flexibility are a must. Responsible for assisting all Service Providers with training, product knowledge, and product inventory.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and abide by TRILOGY and The Spa at The Lodge policy and procedures.
  • Provide guests with a thorough and knowledgeable spa service.
  • Demonstrate respect, sensitivity and concern for guests needs and concerns with a professional and pleasant manner.
  • Setup and break down of designated treatment area with the highest respect of fellow co-workers by maintaining neat and well-stocked work areas.
  • Provide spa guests with a tour of spa facilities, when needed.
  • Interact cooperatively with and with consideration towards guest and co-workers.
  • Anticipate guests needs and adhere to The Spa at The Lodge and TRILOGYs standards for guest service, including FORBES 5 Star Standards.
  • Communicates guest problems or complaints to the Spa Manager on Duty.
  • Decisions of a broad nature are made in accordance with general policy and procedures.
  • Ensure all Service Providers deliver exceptional service.
  • Ensure Service Providers are monitored and trained on new and existing protocols.
  • Maintain safety and sanitation and disinfection standards.
  • Ensure Service Providers properly clean and sanitize products, rooms, tools and equipment, following TRILOGY and State Governing Boards requirements and guidelines.
  • Ensure Service Providers follow service rules and regulations under their license in the State.
  • Ensure Service Providers use all PPE and sanitation standards by TRILOGY and the State Governing Body.
  • Responsible for training all new Service Providers on Spa treatments.
  • Act as leader for Service Providers and work with Spa Management to enforce service standards, SOPs, and conduct disciplinary actions, as needed.
  • Responsible for professional product inventory and control.
  • Distribute professional products to staff as necessary, and maintain cleanliness standards of front and back of house.
  • Assist Spa Director in ensuring that Service Provider licenses are up to date and renewed, as needed.
  • Assist Spa Management with Service Provider schedules, as needed.
  • Assist in arranging vendor training on treatment protocols and at-home retail extensions of such.
  • Responsible for quarterly meetings of their department and attendance.
  • Provide communication channel from Spa Management to their team.
  • Assist in inventory/ordering pars of retail product for their services.
  • Communicate any maintenance/general cleanliness issues to Spa Manager on Duty.
  • Ensure equipment utilized for treatments in your department is in good operating order.
  • Assist with daily briefings if MOD is unavailable.
Qualifications
  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have current CA Massage Therapy License or Certification of Completion from an accredited Massage School.
  • Must have at least 3-5 years experience in a Massage Therapist position, preferably in a hotel/resort.
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Must have a flexible schedule, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends, and must be available on an On Call basis, if needed.
  • Must be polished, professional, and have a strong command of both written and verbal English.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Skillful with hands in applying pressure.
  • Knowledge of Massage Theory, Anatomy and Physiology.
  • Basic Computer software skills.
  • Previous Supervisory positions held preferred.

Compensation: 18% Service Commission + $17.00 per hour + Service Charge + Retail Commission
