Asset and Inventory Control Manager

Additional responsibilities of the Manager include, but are not limited, to:
- Evaluating all data control to maximize accountability of MSO assets and inventory;
- Leading, developing and assisting in the implementation of strategic plans for improving inventory and asset control, accuracy, and space utilization;
- Providing leadership associated with building and maintaining a strong inventory and asset management system;
- Managing and coordinating activities of employees engaged in inventory control and inventory record accuracy;
- Conducting a physical annual inventory review of all MSO assets;
- Interfacing with multiple organizational levels and disciplines in the review and analysis of inventory;
- Reviewing and reporting compliance of fixed assets, capital assets, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) and non-GAAP assets with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts;
- Complying with the state Department of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (“DCAMM”) inventory reviews;
- Ensuring compliance with all state and correctional regulations; developing policies and practices necessary to comply with those regulations; and ensuring compliance on behalf of the MSO;
- Developing and complying with MSO internal policies and enforcement consistency;
- Reviewing current inventory regularly and providing a monthly summary for presentation to the Director of Fiscal Operations and Chief Financial Officer;
- Interpreting and enforcing MSO policies regarding all applicable safety regulations.
- Performing other duties as required by the Director of Fiscal Operations and Chief Financial Officer.
Working Conditions:
- Based in a correctional facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week;
- The applicant may be required to: interact with people who are under physical and/or emotional stress; stand and walk for prolonged periods of time; lift and carry heavy objects; work under exposure to adverse weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or closely related field preferred and/or a minimum of five (5) years Inventory/Supply and Asset Management experience;
- Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred;
- Proven ability to maintain effective working relationships within a cross functional team environment;
- Excellent knowledge of current inventory and asset control, industry trends, concepts, software and procedures;
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint;
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, oral, written, organizational and time management skills with the ability to pay close attention to detail while maintaining comprehensive and cohesive records;
- Must be able to work independently and with other internal and external departments in a fast-paced environment while handling a large volume of work in a customer-service oriented role.
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Must have an active valid driver’s license, the right to legally operate a motor vehicle in Massachusetts and pass a criminal background check, which includes medical, drug (including marijuana) and psychological screenings.
Salary: Starting annual base salary is $83,474.41 to $91,062.44, commensurate with experience, plus additional benefits.
