Job DescriptionJob Description

The job holder is in charge of managing a portfolio of trade accounts receivable, guaranteeing timely cash collection within specified payment periods, and managing credit risk in accordance with the company's Credit & Collections policy. Duties include processing client payments, investigating and analyzing credit risks, examining customer history, extending credit as needed, and working cross-functionally to investigate and resolve problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a comprehensive grasp of the given client portfolio through weekly aging reviews and regular customer interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's credit and collection policy.
  • Collect open accounts receivable amounts for a specified portfolio of accounts.
  • Produce weekly/monthly reports on accounts receivable aging balances.
  • Use cash to open accounts receivable.

Professional Experience and Education

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance; Bachelor's Degree is desirable but not needed.
  • Requirements include 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, as well as fluency in English (both spoken and written).
The pay for AR specialist is starting at $18.00 per hour unless I hear something different.

Additional Responsibilities

Maintain client credit files, including assessing customer credit worthiness, recommending appropriate credit extensions, and working cross-functionally to explore and resolve inconsistencies.

Specific knowledge

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including Vlookup and pivot tables
  • ERP systems experience (Microsoft Great Plains preferred)
