WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday

Location: Beddy’s offices; 5491 Hammerfest Dr. #210, South Jordan, UT 84009

Pay: $17.00 per hour

 

The Warehouse Operations Associate is responsible for a variety of tasks within our warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate handling of goods from receiving to shipping. This role is integral to ensuring customer satisfaction by processing orders efficiently and accurately.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

You will have a primary area of responsibility and will also receive training to assist in all areas of the warehouse. Flexibility and willingness to be cross-trained and utilized in various parts of the warehouse as needed are essential.


1. Packing:

  • Pack orders securely to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Verify the contents and quantities against the order list.
  • Generate and affix shipping labels.
  • Stage packed orders for shipping.


2. Order Picking:

  • Accurately pick items from shelves based on picking lists.
  • Use handheld devices or warehouse management system to confirm picked quantities.
  • Ensure timely completion of picked orders to meet shipping schedules.

 

3. Replenishment:

  • Monitor inventory levels in the pick face and restock items as needed.
  • Ensure a smooth flow of goods to the picking area.
  • Collaborate with inventory to address any discrepancies.


4. General Duties:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Assist in periodic inventory counts.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe manner.
  • Continually enhance product knowledge and stay updated on new products.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient operations.

 

5. Receiving:

  • Unload incoming shipments from suppliers or other sources.
  • Verify and inspect the contents against shipping documents to ensure accuracy.

 

6. Put-away:

  • Store received items in the appropriate locations.
  • Ensure that items are stored in an organized manner and are easily accessible.
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in warehouse operations is an advantage.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
