Junior Accountant

Full Time / Syosset, NY

Commercial Real Estate firm located in Syosset, New York has an immediate need for a Junior Accountant. The position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Senior Accountant(s) with accounting workpaper and preparation of internal financial statements.
• Assist Senior Accountant(s) with Common Area Maintenance Reconciliation (“CAM”) and tenant CAM Audits.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare account bank reconciliations.
• Complete month-end closings.
• Maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university
• Real estate industry experience preferred
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Meticulous attention to details and accuracy
• Minimum of 1-2 years previous experience
