Purpose: The HRBP of Compensation, Benefits, and HRIS is tasked with recommending, implementing, and administering comprehensive benefit and compensation programs. This role extends to overseeing payroll operations and maintaining the Paylocity HRIS system. Additionally, the incumbent manages payroll tax setups and ensures strict adherence to all local, state, and federal payroll regulations, including compliance with legal and regulatory standards such as the FLSA.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

  1. Identifies, evaluates, and recommends benefit plan designs, performs cost analyses, and reviews funding alternatives. Manages external benefits consultants and prepares proposals for management review and consideration.
  2. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, serves as a member of the Employee Benefits Committee, communicates benefit plan provisions to employees, and maintains and issues plan documents.
  3. Manages third-party vendors and oversees the administration of employee benefit plans, including flexible spending accounts, medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, and thrift plans.
  4. Performs compensation surveys and develops salary structures that match BFG’s organizational composition to external market realities.
  5. Recommends changes to the salary ranges, proposes annual merit increase budgets, and prepares cost analysis for management approval.
  6. Evaluate positions for internal ranking and compensation equity. Works in partnership with department managers and human resources peers to understand job roles and responsibilities to recommend appropriate salary changes.
  7. Develops and deploys performance and calibration tasks; works with employees and managers to ensure a timely and successful merit review process.
  8. Oversees the payroll function, establishing internal processes that ensure the integrity of all payroll-related transactions. Administers pay practices, time and attendance policies, and the PTO plan and validates compliance with consistency in application.
  9. Ensures users have appropriate access and support navigating HRIS systems; develops and delivers HRIS system training to meet the company's needs.
  10. Develop reports, dashboards, and data analytics to support the HR department and data requests from internal clients. Provides retrieval ability to produce employee information for analysis and decision-making, statistical data, and other employee-related reports as required.
  11. Proficient in utilizing the Willis Towers Watson job grading tool. Understands the components of a job profile to effectively apply the grading system. Ensures job profiles are complete and has an in-depth understanding of the role to ensure accurate grading.
  12. Collaborates with human resource team members to provide quality service to business partners, employees, and plan participants.
Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in human resources or business administration or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 10 years experience in a payroll, compensation, or benefits role.

· Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation preferred.

· In-depth knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act, ERISA, COBRA, ACA, EEO, and other relevant federal regulations.

· Experience with Paylocity and Talent Management Systems preferred.

· Experience in defining system solutions, automation of work processes, and implementation of cloud-based systems. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, planning, and time-management skills.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks against tight deadlines.

· Must maintain confidential and secure sensitive information.

· Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, with advanced skills in Excel.

· Requires excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

· Must have demonstrated ability to successfully establish effective interpersonal relationships with a variety of management and staff and work independently toward project deliverables.

· Ability to work independently and manage projects to their successful conclusion.

· Experience with Paylocity HRIS a significant plus.
