Summary:

We employ the most curious and brilliant people. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about the Mission of Greenacres and our values. We are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience in managing food-based retail operations. It is a hybrid position responsible for both branding and planning phases for our in-house products. They will develop strategies and tactics to get the word out about our organization and products while driving visitors to our to be renovated Farm Store.


Responsibilities:

  • Execute a vision for our farm markets as the first guest experience of Greenacres
  • Manage and plan product inventory (includes planning with production teams for consistency in product availability, determining appropriate product prices, determine when to have sales, when to scale up and slow down production, etc.)
  • Oversee Farm Store employees with planning day-to-day staffing, delegate responsibilities and manage scheduling at multiple locations
  • Coordinate with Marketing Team to develop printed materials (labels, fresh sheets, CSA handouts, etc.), e-blasts, educational materials, events, and overall communication
  • Manage consumables inventory (ie. paper bags, packaging materials, etc.)
  • Analyze and provide sales data to production teams to make informed production decisions year-to-year
  • Schedule and coordinate meat harvests and meat pickups with butchers
  • Be able to execute all duties of Farm Store Coordinator position
  • Collaborate with other departments or provide visitors a high quality experiences
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:
  • 5+ year’s management experience
  • A passion for food and an understanding of the logistics involved with farm to retail
  • Attention to detail and accuracy especially when dealing with numbers
  • Ability to evaluate labor & material requirements
  • Organized and ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate and skilled with MS Office, Adobe Suite, Google Suite
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs regularly
  • Ability to learn new digital products quickly (i.e. POS systems)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and various needs simultaneously from start to completion
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings and/ or holidays
  • Ability to pass a drug screen, BCI/FBI background check and physical examination as required
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and pass screening by Greenacres auto insurance carrier to drive Greenacres vehicles
