Overview

Axle is seeking a highly ambitious, adaptable, structured, and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Vaccine Research Center (VRC), Associate Director of Operations and Management (ADMO)

Technical Requirements:

  • Provide administrative assistance to CORs with the following:
    • Schedule & administer meetings.
    • Keep schedule of milestones/deadlines during task order & initiative development.
    • Assist COR with drafting & editing clinical trial documents needed for task order development and progression.
    • File documents including deliverables in the VRC electronic folders.
    • Transfer data from deliverables into spreadsheets and dashboards for easier COR review (example, entering invoice costs into spreadsheet to watch for patterns, etc).
    • Review deliverables for quality assurance.
    • Work with the CORs and Contracts Coordinator to develop reports for regular contracts review meetings.
    • Improve computational tools such as dashboards that help VRC Leadership oversee VRC contracts.
  • Assistance with computational tools will be by regular end-user experience & testing; no programming experience is needed or expected:
    • ​​​​​​​Point out anomalies in reports such as missing or inaccurate data.
    • Offer suggestions for making reports more useful.
    • ​​​​​​​Suggestions & anomalies will be provided to the Contracts Coordinator and may also include VRC Staff, the Contracts Office or the Office of Cyber Infrastructure & Computational Biology (OCICB), whomever carries out the programming.
    • Develop occasional reports using data in the reporting tools.
    • Attend meetings with the COR or Contracts Coordinator for planning improvements to the computational tools & keep track of action items.
Specific Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences.
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience in coordinating and completing projects.
