Veterinary Emergency Hospital of Midlothian, is a newly opened, privately owned, 24/7 animal ER facility. We currently have a full staff of doctors and in the process of expanding to a second location which will be urgent care with limited hours in Arlington.

We are currently hiring veterinarians of any experience level from new graduates to experienced ER veterinarians to expand our team at the ER as well as staffing for our second location prior to opening.


VEHM is located in a southern DFW suburb, in one of the fastest growing areas which provides a unique opportunity for living. You can easily live in the city, with downtown Fort Worth & Dallas both being less than 30min away, the suburbs, or in the country with a short drive to work. The area provides many social opportunities and is a warm community to live in.


VEHM focus is on providing quality 24/7 emergency care for our patients, compassion for their owners, and clear communication with our referring veterinarians. In addition to 24/7 emergency & critical care, VEHM offers limited orthopedic surgery with our mobile surgeon, echocardiograms with mobile radiologist, & integrative medicine appointments during weekdays (doctor who’s practice is limited to ER and integrative medicine) with cold laser, acupuncture, chiropractics, magna flow, etc. We also offer select exotic and small farm animal emergency services but this is not required of a candidate. VEHM does not offer wellness care/general practice to maintain strong relationships with rDVMs.


The brand new ER facility is fully equipped with: central oxygen, Snyder oxygen cage, high flow oxygen therapy, top of the line ultrasound, GI endoscopy, wide range of soft tissue surgery capabilities/tools, neonate/exotics incubator, digital radiology, full in house laboratory options, extensive patient monitoring including continuous ECG and EtCO2, transfusion capabilities, isolation ward, and digital whiteboard.


We have an amazing support staff team that has been hand picked over the past decade, all with extensive ER experience and having worked in a multitude of ERs. The staff will not only be supportive but a great resource for a candidate to learn from. There is always a management level tech on the floor, who is capable of managing at risk anesthesia situations and advanced tech skills such as central line placement.


The Medical Director has successfully trained many veterinarians with limited or no ER experience, including new graduates, and would love the opportunity to help a candidate start or progress their career in emergency medicine. References can be provided for previous trainees as requested.
