Summary/Objective 

NextEdge is looking for experienced Tower Technicians to join our growing team. The qualified applicant will learn and perform all aspects of new tower and communication site construction, modifications and maintenance of existing structures, lighting systems, radio equipment, antennas and RF transmission lines. NextEdge holds all of its employees to a high level of safety awareness and quality standards

Essential Functions 

  • Perform tower construction activities including assembling/erecting towers, installing antennas, mounting hardware, installing coax and connectors, grounding, testing, positioning, and optimizing antennas and lines.

  • Work with basic hand tools and safety equipment. Telecom test gear knowledge a plus.

  • Assist with testing of new and existing equipment. May include sweep, PIM, or fiber testing.

  • Ability to take and understand written and verbal direction.

  • Ability to travel and work in remote locations outside of the metropolitan area.

  • Maintain OSHA safety requirements at all times.

  • Installation of RF and antenna system components such as antennas, TMA's, RRU's, diplexers, coax, hybrids, grounding, supports, weatherproofing, connectors, hardware, etc.)

  • knowledge and experience of major carrier sites including upgrades, MODS, NSB, Electrical, Civil, DAS, Small Cells, etc.

  • Understanding and ability to process RFDS and read construction drawings.
